The process that we apply to every project is derived from the following key steps…
This is the most important stage in our design process and often begins before we are appointed to a project. This step involves gathering all relevant and available information in order to assess options at concept stage in order to achieve and exceed the clients project objectives through innovation and collaboration. Often this results in preliminary services, stress testing & models and a lot of collaboration with other designers, the client and third-party stakeholders.
After outlining potential solutions to overcome various scenarios the most effective or the client preferred solution is delivered into a detail design. It is at this stage that our technical expertise and innovation, demonstrated in the first step, is honed in further to design each and every component of the solution. Through calculation, modelling and analysis those initial conceptual designs are proven into a developed design.
Every professional service, especially Engineering requires the building of digital assets through and compilation of documentation to not only record the process of design, but to provide practical illustrations of that process. This is normally achieved through calculation packs, expert reports, drawings, visualisations, guidance documents, instructions for construction, virtual reality models or applications. All documentation that we create is subjected to stringent quality assurance to ensure the outline of design connectivity and efficiently conveys our innovation to everyone.
A key part of our design process is to follow through and support our clients through the implementation of their projects. This allows us to support or manage the entire team, be part of the celebration upon delivery and the process of learning lessons. As Designers, being part of a project through to final use breeds a better understanding for design and grows the passionate feeling of ownership for each design implemented.
