Cadarn have helped to improve the lives of the occupants within a tired looking residential development whilst also reducing risk of flooding which has occurred in the past by retrofitting sustainable urban drainage methods into an existing development. The designs were modelled in a 3D environment to help the occupants visualise and comment upon the design before commencement.
Utilising designs software, we were able to hydraulically model the site to demonstrate the reduction in risk of flooding to the properties as a result as well as helping the residents visualise the improvements that will be made through the use of 3D modelling software.
The original brief was to resolve the ongoing flooding issues associated with the site and implement sustainable urban drainage features and make improvements which will benefit the occupants.
Several schematic designs were sketched up and presented to the client which identified amenity areas, additional parking for residents and Sustainable urban drainage features.
The project is planned to be undertaken in the very near future and will help assist with achieving the ambitions set out by the Welsh Government in the Future Generations Wales Act. Cadarn have been appointed to procured, manage and supervise the works.
